I’m seriously geeking out

English isn’t my first language so I get whatever chance I can to learn new words. I saw this online and I’m seriously geeking out reading this list. Words are so cool! I didn’t know ‘contronyms’ until now and thinking about it, yeah some English words are really contradictory or whatever. My favorite word ‘oversight’ isn’t included in the list though. It can mean to oversee and supervise, or a mistake made due to carelessness. Oversight can prevent an oversight! Sorry, I’m geeking out. Can you add anything on the list?

I can't really read that list, because I can't really see it. English is my first language, and it confuses me at times, too.

Ah, I didn't know there was a term for that . Yes, one that I come across in cooking is "seed/seeded". To seed a tomato means to take out the seeds .

@sol_cee Really? I have not heard of that. But I'll look it up. I remember as a kid that if I ate seeds, I thought maybe a plant would grow inside me .

That’s a good one. Speaking of tomato seeds. I remember someone said to me not to eat tomato seeds because they cause cancer. But when I look at some cooking videos, they don’t really mind about the tomato seeds and just cook them as is
