Do you pay rent?

I live with my parents. I am lucky because I don't have to pay rent. But as soon as I will be able I would like to live with a stranger. The rent is very expensive. Where I live people prefer to buy houses. Here few people pay rent. Do you pay rent? Do you move out often? I think that paying rent can be stressful if we don't have enough money.

We still pay rent but we are about to buy an apartment and get away from renting. You are so much right: paying rent is stressful and sometimes, when the landlord doesn't help much, it becomes even worse. There is a movement in here for not buying houses/apartment anymore because the financing process is too expensive and taxes are too hig that it is better to pay rent until we die than buy a house. I don't know if I agree with it, or not, but one thing is for sure: whenever we have an apartment many problems will be solved and we will be free to enjoy a little bit of life we deserve after all these years of hard work.

I live in our own house and thank God I never had to pay rent, the only downside of owning your own house is here we need to pay real estate tax yearly that increases based on improvements made on the property like extensions and additions.

I do pay rent but I share the place with family. It is not cheap to rent here.
I would prefer to buy, but that is not possible at this time.
And when you actually own a place, there are lots of repairs to make with lots of money.
I wish you luck in being able to find a place with a room mate if you want.

Interesting question. Last night my husband added up all the places that we have lived at since we stopped being in university dorms. Thirteen places, counting our current house. And most of those places we lived in cause we couldn't afford to live anywhere else. Now that we have retired we live in a house that is paid off enitrely. I do need to pay the house and property taxes before the end of this month, though.

Yes, I do pay rent. I cannot afford to buy or I would. I am not a mover but my cat and I were forced out of the place we lived in before the last place. The place was so small so we moved and now we live in a bigger place but cannot afford it so we will be moving after the year is up. it is very expensive and cannot afford to live here any longer.

I live overseas, yes i have to pay rent to my landlord. I rent a common room with my daughter. We have to pay $600 per month. I have my own house back in my jome country. We had already paid the bank our dues. Hence we dont have to pay installments

We pay the rent. We should move into our apartment next year. The apartment is large and in a good location in my city.
