One week ago a resident in Durango Colorado contacted the Colorado Parks (CPW) and Wildlife Officers to relocate a bear that was located underneath a deck. CPW spokesman John Livingston mentioned that five members used a tranquilizer gun to kayo the bear so that they could remove the bear from underneath the deck so that the bear could relocated sixty miles away after the bear was microchipped and tagged when he came to his senses. The bear weighed around 400 pounds and is around ten years old. Since winter is coming soon, bears are getting ready to take their hibernation period.

Good thing a concerned citizen called in to help the bear as well. Some animals now are surfacing maybe because they lack food in the wildlife. And bears sre sometimes agressive too at times .

One reason bears are coming to houses in cities these days is that their homes have a lack of food to eat.

It’s good they found the bear before he could cause any trouble. That’s a huge bear. He might have been looking for a place to sleep.

@RubyHawk I have wondered how bears can stay asleep for a few months myself.

@Deepizzaguy I guess it is about time for a big meal then hibernate. I wonder where they go to sleep through the winter.

Oh wow that definitely was not a good spot that bear had picked. I’m glad the game commission moved the bear safely although from studies done the bear will try to come back to its native area.

I am sure bears like to be in their home after they leave their home area to visit a populated area from time to time.

bears get into such precarious situations, they are just so cute but goodness sakes they are silly.

I know what you mean that bears do act silly sometimes despite being good looking.

I am in agreement with you since wildlife officials never want to kill a bear until it is self defense.

Lucky is the bear that has been brought back to the woods after it lost its way.
