Watch Key West Fantasy Fest - October 21-30

It's that time again. Key West in Florida holds their Fantasy Fest before Halloween; and the entire city, it seems, dresses up for the occasion. This year it runs between October 21 through the 30th.
You can go to FantasyFest.com and see the schedule of events; and you can view some of the festivities in the evening at SloppyJoes.com and IrishKevins.com. For Sloppy Joe's access the "live Duval Street cam"; and for Irish Kevin's go to the "street cam". There are barriers already placed on the sidewalks in anticipation of blocking off Duval Street when the crowds get too large. Then the revelers will be able to walk in the street safely.
Warning: This is not a celebration for the young. Many women paint their bodies; and men and women wear "R" rated costumes...maybe even some "Xs".
So if you want to see the celebrations, tune in. We will be watching during the whole period. Since we can't be there, it's the next best thing! The temperature today in Key West is a "chilly" 75. I hope the "cold" won't keep the revelers away!

@LindaOHio We did not join the crowd, but we stayed at a bar enjoying the parade. I did not wear the costume I bought. I wore it at home.

They were talking about a wind chill on the Tampa weather radio this morning! “Wind chill of 45.” I had to laugh at that, but I do understand that 45 is cold to them!
I’ll tune in to the live cameras and hope the bawdiness doesn’t melt my TV.

Yes, we will tune in every night of Fantasy Fest. We also watched a bikini contest last year at one of the bars that had a webcam.

Not during Fantasy Fest. Too many people for me. We love the Keys and wanted to move there. It's just too expensive now.

@LindaOHio That would be a nice place to be. My uncle who has since passed lived there after retirement.
I imagine moving anywhere with rising costs would be an expensive thing to do now.

I would never go there during that time. The hotel rates go way up; and so do the crowds. We watch the webcams instead.

I did not know that Key West celebrated a Fantasy Fest before Halloween. I would stay away since seeing R rated and X rated clothing is not for me.
