A freezing morning again today. Woke up to 28 degrees F. Now with the sunshine we are up in the 60's for now. A beautiful day.
Decided to run to the store for a few things. Banana nut bread is a favorite this time of year. I needed bananas and a few other ingredients.
Now the bread is done and when it cools, I will be slicing it to enjoy. The house smells so good right now. Loving this time of year.
I wonder if you are baking or cooking anything special in your part of the world today.
Photo is mine.

One thing I never had any interest in learning was how to actually cook, now I regret that but at least I do know how to make soups and spaghetti. I looked up how to make bread on YouTube, it always sounds so easy but I only have a toaster oven so I wouldn't know how to proportion it properly so that the little oven isn't overwhelmed.

My family loves banana bread or muffins. I do make them often.
Last night I made some chicken and wild rice soup, so I am having a cup of that right now. Today has been kind of crazy and I didn't take the time to eat before now, so it will probably be another day of just 2 meals, which works for me when I am really busy.

@marlina
Well, you get to enjoy it all for yourself! Which in my case could be a bad thing if I ate it all.

Your bread looks delicious! After below freezing temps the last two mornings we we still at 36F this morning and reached 70F for about an hour this afternoon. (The forecast predicts we'll be in the 80s for the next three days.)
Nah, not baking anything right now. I've not felt like being very active for the last week. The doctor is running more tests to see if she can figure out what's going on again.

@CarolDM You're welcome. I used to bake more when I was younger. I took some homemade rolls to my doctor once. She loved them and then told me part of my weight problem was eating my own cooking... How would I know if I made the breads and such right if I didn't eat some of them, too?

@DaddyEvil Homemade bread can put on the pounds. But I always eat in moderation.

I know your banana bread is divine. We cooked a catfish stew today and I made a batch of chocolate cookies to keep in the freezer.

@aninditasen Pecans are very popular here in the US. The pecan is a tree nut in the hickory family with a crunchy texture and sweet flavor.

We never bake except we cook. Nothing special so far. Everything seems normal.

Anyways, I hope that you enjoyed the Banana Nut.
Weather wise it's a good mix of hot and cold weather.

No, but I will be soon.
There was one Christmas season back in the early 1990s when I was a newlywed and killed our oven with all the baking I was doing. That year, I baked 72-dozen cookies before that oven finally kicked the bucket.
