Are gas prices declining where you live?

Gas prices have been on a bit of a roller coaster ride here in the San Francisco Bay Area. At my discount gas station (not Chevron or Mobil--they charge more) the price of Regular peaked at $6.09 several months ago, dropped to $5.09 a few weeks later, and then surged back to $6.19. Over the last couple of weeks, prices they have dropped again, and the cost of a gallon of Regular is now $5.49. Have gas prices been going up and down (with an upward "moving average") where you live? I should ask my Montana friends how much they're paying there. It's usually a dollar or two less than we pay here in Northern California. Photo is of the entrance to my property in Montana. Yes, I rebuilt the fence. But it's mostly for show. A black bear with an itchy butt could knock it over.

I think the cash price at Tom Thumb today was $2.99. But it has pretty much stayed at $2.99 to $3.20 for the last few motnhs.

@TheHorse Yeah well we have Daddy DeSantis overseeing all that crap. I don't know. We've been working within 15 miles of the house for the last couple of weeks, so a tank of gas has lasted us about a week. We have a 36 gallon tank. So it's still expensive to fill up, but not nearly as expensive as it is there.

@thislittlepennyearns My Silverado has a 30 gallon tank, I think. DeSantis seems like a jerk, but has he been a good Governor? He may wind up running against our Governor, Gavin Newsom, if the Dems don't go with the old fella. Newsom has done a good job here.

No. In contrast, they went from about $3.20 back up to $3.89 around the first of the month. The prices are inching down but they go up miles at a time.

We'll see if they will go down further here. Gotta love how well the big oil companies are doing.

We buy in litres and the price dropped a couple of months ago by 10% after a lot of pressure on the government. It's been slowly rising again. Prior to that it was rising regularly and there were a lot of protests!!

I don't think George pays attention to the prices of gas. He will fill up once a week regardless. He'll usually look if I ask him.

Yeah, gas prices are bouncing up and down here. Regular gas is currently at $3.45/ gallon, which is higher than it was when I filled up last week. I paid $2.99/gallon then. The fence looks good.

The gas prices here started to go up again this past week. They were at $4.69 and now, the prices are going down again. I think today it was $4.15 at the WalMart gas station.

I am not sure. I guess kind of steady. They did increase but now steady. They said Saudi Arabia was going to jack the prices up and they literally said they want Trump back in office. That is why they were doing it. Not sure if they did and guess they biggest oil player so world listening. My beef the whole time was they jacked up prices. then everyone raised prices to pay for everything else to pay for gas. Gas lowered and gave them a excuse to jack prices up on everything else. but when it lowered did they lower their prices. Hell no. This is a dumb system and a dangerous game these fools are playing.

Last week we paid $4.59 a galloon of regular at Costco. One gas station here had the regular at $6.99 a galloon. So it is different prices at different stations. Costco is the cheapest place to go.
