My Secret Power (secret even to Me): something like 'Neediness'

I can probably draw a comparison that shows how EVERYBODY'S power/value/worth is a form of neediness---for example, a man works as an auto-mechanic (or 'a woman,' whatever): he doesn't do the work because he needs YOUR car to work right; he does it because HE NEEDS THE PAY. MY power of neediness is different. I don't do things 'because I need to' (other than the obvious cleanliness stuff). MY power is 'making OTHERS FEEL my need---or maybe that's just my "luck," landing me among people who sympathetically/empathetically feel my needs (or -who get paid to supply my needs ). I think I need to learn how to use that power (unless it actually WAS luck and/or wages). Any tips?
