Another Service interruption with my internet provider

Last Saturday I woke up at 3am in the morning and could not sleep so I browsed in the meantime to lull me to sleep. But after a few minutes of browsing, I noticed that the signal went blank so I rested in the hope that it would be restored in the morning but to my dismay the whole day passed and nothing happened. I started reporting through their Customer Service but since it was a weekend there were limited technicians available to attend to my concern.
What made it worse was my cable TV started to have intermittent connection as well. So, the whole weekend my house was very quiet. I had to report it as well and promised that they would attend to it 24-48 hours. Today they did as they promised, the Internet provider technician arrive very early in the Morning and after a couple of hours they were able to restore the service. Same thing happened to my cable and they just replaced my CATV box and everything was restored back.

Upon investigation, there was a truck that passed by our place and accidentally pulled the wires off. That is why the technicians have to replace the wire from the electric post. After they were able to put everything back, I was back online again. My cable also got restored within the day too and I am quite happy with their service at the moment.

I'm glad the technicians got your internet and cable both up and running correctly for you. That's actually really quick service compared to the service we get here. The internet service kept calling and asking if our internet was working while we were waiting for seven days to go by and they'd arrive to fix it. We kept telling them it still wasn't working. When the technician finally arrived, he figured out he had accidentally disconnected our internet at the service box because we weren't using it when he checked so he thought it wasn't hooked up to a house. (Pretty and I both sleep during the day and are active at night. He checked the lines in the middle of the day and, of course, found nobody using our line then. )

My previous provider usually had that kind of service. I am glad I switched to this provider too. Before I had to plead to their customer service to attend to my concern but they will just say that I had to wait for my turn since there are just too many they have to attend to. But my current provider would even allow me to choose what day I prefer to have them visit me and the time as well. Then they did as they promised it too.

@rsa101 We're willing to stay with our current service provider even if they are slow to attend to problems. They have the best service in our area and happen to be decent in pricing. We're willing to accept slightly shoddy care from them as long as they continue to be the best service provider...
There are two other service providers in our area. Both the other providers shut off the internet after midnight and that's when Pretty and I are both online.

True, my weekend was kind of dull without any entertainment available. But then I realized that I have done something different like attending to cleaning and decided to visit some other places to entertain ourselves without the net and CATV.

@Nakitakona That is good to know that they have innovated the service notification to their subscribers. I have had a bad experience with my previous one where when there is a problem you need to let them know that you have a problem in their services and just not let us know that there is a general repair in the area that is why.

@rsa101 Ours is sending notice thru text message and we receive it to our phone. They also tell what had Happened and when it will be fixed. So we don't need to complain.

WE had a three hour block out because of this storm. There's no internet and power. But power and internet is back now.

I see, a good thing it was restored today. I usually expect them to act on it 48 to 72 hours before they attend to my concern. Although I had to wait for 48 hours, I guess that was understandable because it was a weekend for the past 48 hours. Upon their investigation, it looked like there was a truck that hit the cables, and it was unfortunate that my cable was pulled off.
