Shopping, football game and geocaching this weekend

Saturday I wound up running to the thrift store my daughter works at twice times. The first one was to drop off donations and to see what was new. The second time because I forgot to drop off some ice cream I had promised her and to look at some baby clothes she was putting out on the shelves that she wanted me to get first dibs.
At 1 pm my son had his last home game. He plays base and guitar for the football games along with the other band members.
I had mentioned to my husband that I saw it was going to be nice weather (almost 70°F) and was going to take the baby for a walk on the rails to trails but realized my son has his last game.
My husband said I had to been to all the home games did I really have to go. I said yes and that most parents got to all the games home and away. He said band parents though? I said I wasn’t sure but it’s the only way I see him play and I know it makes him happy.
He took the baby alone for the first time. He went to his parents house with her. I would have loved him to have done it on a day when I could have went hiking or something but I did get to lay around and rest for awhile and read a book which was nice.
The military provided camouflage jerseys to the football team. It looked awesome! I love camo! I wore my camo hoody and my stepson wore his hunting outfit and they announced over the loudspeaker he won best dressed.
Sunday was supposed to be warmer too. It wasn’t but it could have been worse. I took my niece and the baby geocaching. On the drive it was so cute hearing them giggling so hard in the back. In one of geocaches my niece got 50 cents. She was so excited she asked “Is this money, is this really real money”.
My husband and the boys put up insulation and sheetrock on the one outer dining room wall. Afterwards he got drunk and told me how depressed he was that he had missed the opening day of pheasant season on Saturday due to him being hurt from his trip he went to on my sons birthday. He was being dramatic and going on about it. I didn’t say a word it thought again how hard and fast karma hit him.
Photo is of the ugliest textured pumpkin I’ve ever seen. It was one of the decorations at a park we went to while geocaching yesterday. The texture actually turns my stomach. I’m know I’m odd that way.

I'm glad you got some time away from the baby and was at your son's last home ball game. And yes, band parents go to everything their kids do just like sports parents do.
I agree, that is the ugliest pumpkin I've ever seen.

@Daddyevil it may seem petty but I feel like he’s never offered to watch her before while I did anything. I felt like he’s probably just making himself look better to his parents. The only other time he has watched her while I did anything was one time his mother was here and I asked him if he could watch her while I drove my older daughter to a party which was a half hour away (one way) and later at night. If the baby rides in a car she sleeps the whole time and late at night a nap like that I knew she would be up late.
Prior to that time any time I’ve asked him to watch her he tells me to take her with me because he has things to do or so and so likes babies and would enjoy seeing her. I had to take her to a dress fitting to my daughters and she cried the entire time which I knew she would so I was really upset when he once again had told me to take her that this woman likes babies.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks it’s so ugly!

@shaggin It's not petty. He doesn't seem to want to do his share of parenting until the kids are big enough to do his hobbies with him. I'm willing to bet he took the baby to his parents so his mom could take care of her.
I don't like pumpkins and think that one is ugly!

Do you earn in geocaching? Is it a game app? Is it similar to Pokémon hunting?

@Nakitakona it’s not something you can sit and play on your phone. You use an app to see what geocaches are around then you park and walk to what they call ground zero which is as close as you can get to it then you start searching for the container. Inside will have a paper to sign and if it’s a bigger geocache it will have trinkets to trade. Then you log your find on the app.

@shaggin It takes time and efforts to do it. Unlike Pokémon search or hunt, you just direct your phone to spot where a Pokémon is then come close it to catch.

I find that pumpkin in the photo unique. It does not look ugly at all to me.

@Judyev it’s nice to not feel frowned upon for my thinking.
I only stayed until half time like I usually do and he asked why. I felt bad I could have stayed the whole game since the baby wasn’t there being fussy I just didn’t think of it . I don’t know anything about football I just sit there and try to listen to the music with my moms endless talking beside me

@Courtlynn I’m sure he wouldn’t just watch her at home he probably only took her to his moms to look like he’s a champion dad sad to say. Now even if he did ever offer to stay with the baby while I went hiking (which he never has) I’d never take him up on it because of the dog biting the baby.

@RebeccasFarm I’ve never seen a pumpkin like this before. It grossed me out but it was neat to see so many different kinds especially many that I had never seen before.
He probably doesn’t think I’m a good wife. I refused to wash his cups anymore after getting yelled at so he has a box full of them in the back room. Eventually he will run out and will have to wash one to have anything to drink out of.

If your mother-in-law is like me as a grandma, she probably took over the care of the baby as soon as they arrived, leaving him free as a bird! You are right, that is an ugly pumpkin for sure.
