Hello Mylotters, a quiet corner to mylot.

Good morning from this side of the planet. It's 10AM here and it's bright sunny morning here. No rain since the weekend . It's been a gorgeous weather this week and the festival celebration went really well . I am back to work after our Diwali break. Have done two one to one sessions in a row. My student for the 10:15 session is absent and so I have an hour break. I need to meet one of the kindergarten teacher at 11 to discuss some lesson planning. That would be all for work today at school. I should be back home by 12 to enjoy a hot meal with my daughters and husband. It's a thin attendence here for students in Primary and Middle school. That's very common to happen after a festival break. Many go out of station to enjoy it with friends and family. We should see good strength from Monday. High school students don't miss much of their classes as it's crucial years for them. So, we have a good attendence there. My husband is working from home. Many are still in festival hangover and would be back to physical workspace only from Monday. My younger daughter has her Business Studies exams today and she would be back by 1:30 to join us for lunch. My niece is off to her college after the festival break. She wanted to stay back for another two days to enjoy it with my elder daughter who will be leaving back for her college on Saturday early morning at 4. But then she had some presentation and assignments to be submitted. And she has a long day at college and would come back only at 7 in the evening. The course of Journalism is interesting but quite demanding too. Today they will be taken to a busy street and each one has to spend some time there and observe things around. They need to shoot, record and write some interesting reporting from the street and submit it by midnight. My elder one is still sleeping at 10. I called my husband and found out that. She is catching up with all the sleep that she has been deprived of on her campus with the tight schedule . And she will be back to that from coming Monday. All she has been doing on this trip is eat, sleep and chat It's good that I have an hour to mylot . I am sitting in a quiet corner in ths school garden next to our staff room. I am under a tree and just getting a good combination of shade and sun to enjoy while I mylot . I couldn't be much here due to Diwali celebration. Hope to catch up with that in another hour. I have set up my alarm to remind me of my next meeting . Meet you in my notifications for now. I will come back to your posts after that. Enjoy your time in your mylot corner.

Yes, it's busy time here. And now all are lazy and tired after the festival. And all the sweets and calories that we add in festivals make us sluggish. She is making the best out of her break. Yesterday she slept in between the movie that she was watching with her sister and cousin. She slep around 1 in the afternoon and woke up at 6. And she said...Now I am getting tired of oversleeping

@arunima25 I've made myself sick before from sleeping too much. At least she's enjoying herself.

Don't you love the busy buzz that happens at festival times and then the slow recovery back the usual normal. Enjoy the shady tree for the timebeing.

Yes, it would be. Actually, getting back to work in mid week is something no one likes. They will be back to normal after this weekend. We surely miss her. She will be over with her first semester jury( exams) by 10th January according to her academic calendar. She has a two weeks break then before her next semester begins. So, we do get to see her in January. We are going to Delhi for some wedding in December. We plan to drive to her campus and meet her for an hour if possible.

Thank you Rebecca. My elder one left on Saturday and she is now back to her hectic campus life. It was fun when the whole family was there together for a week. Festivals are more fun with loved ones.

I think that is expected for students to miss school or classes after the festival celebration as big as your Diwali. I am glad that High School students are so serious about not missing their classes. Hope you enjoyed your meal.

Coming back to work mid week after a break is not liked by any. ..I am sure that from Monday, it would be back to serious business. This semester is a short one as we have festivals like Dussehra, Diwali and then the semester ends with Christmas break. So, things are bit packed with less working days at hand.

I have been a special educator and counselor since a long time. My job is of part time with specific role and not like a regular teacher. I am mostly working one to one like a therapy session.

It's a five days long celebration, starts with dhanteras and ends with Govardhan pooja. Diwali, the real festival of lights, falls on the third day. There are different rituals followed on different days and it too differs with the community.
