Finally Paid Off Washing Machine

Last November our washing machine went out and we had to get a new one. While I could have afforded to buy it in full, I am trying to improve my credit so I figured I would take them up on their financing offer which came with a credit card and no interest if paid in full within 12 months. Well today I made my final payment (I had been paying more than I needed so finished a month early). It has definitely improved my credit quite a bit and I feel good knowing it's paid off now and my credit is better than it was a year ago.
Now I have the decision to make if I want to make another purchase to keep the card active since they are offering me another no-interest promotion. My son needs a new mattress and since I'm still in the same position where I know I could buy it in full right now but I also know I can make the monthly payments, I may just go ahead and get one.
Does anyone else ever go with a payment plan on items even if you know you can buy in full at the time of purchase?

I budget carefully. Only buy what I can afford. Like my standing fan, Red Card Target buy, could afford, so bought on credit. You're responsible buyer and building your credit & credit score, terrific!
