Do You Use E-Banking? How Often Do You Change The Password?

I seldom go to bank branches nowadays. Just use an ATM to withdraw money. I use e-banking to pay bills, buy/sell stocks, mutual funds; transfer money and even buy insurance. E-banking is convenient. It's available anytime, anywhere. For security reasons, I change my password once every six months. Do you use e-banking? How often do you change the password?

I do lots of it. I don't even withdraw my earnings. I use my card for grocery, online purchases. If I need cash, I only go to ATM to get some. My e-bank notifies me every month (I guess) to change my PW.

My e-bank reminds me to change my password once in a while, not every month.

@Beestring I don't remember the timing for me but yes, I get reminded via notification.

Yes, I use online banking. We have two steps security login. My password first, then they sent a code to my phone that I have to enter. No need to change my pass.

I see. My bank used your two-factor authentication system before. Don't know why, they recently changed the system. Only need to input a password once.

@Beestring I am glad of the two-factor authentication and I like even more the bank who sent the sheet with code and online you get the grid to check and enter the number.

@LadyDuck Two-factor authentication is much safer.

I only do it when my bank tells me I need to. I find the whole thing a hassle.

@jstory07 that's also my reason why don't advocate e-banking.

I do use e-banking and it's mandatory for us to change the password every six months.

I try to do most of my banking through e-banking. Occasionally I do visit the bank for reassurance when the transaction is not routine. I change the password when the banks tell me to - every three months mostly.

It's good that you change your password every three months. I seldom visit the bank unless I need to make investments which require me to sign some documents.
