Good Saturday Morning

Sometimes I need to remind myself what day it is. When you're retired every day is the same.
It's another early day for me. Nothing new there. I'm an early riser. This morning it was 3 AM. Though I was awake at 2:30. I thought I might sleep in this morning. No, the inner clock woke me at the same time as usual. So, four hours of sleep since I went to bed at 10:30.
I don't have any immediate plans for today. After yesterday, I need a day to relax. I might sit out on the balcony for a bit. It's supposed to be pleasant today, in the 60s. I prefer the cooler weather to summer's heat.
I'm seeing picture memories from years past showing snow. This year we had a little snow a week ago, but it wasn't enough to think about. A tenth of an inch and I didn't see the flakes, which I always look for when there's snow in the forecast.
How about you? What are your plans for this last Saturday in October?

Good morning.
My hubs works every other Saturday, this is his Saturday off.
I am always up early on the days that he is off from work as I want to squeeze in as much time together as I can.
We are getting ready to go out early this morning.
We have to get groceries and have a couple of other errands to run.

Love the fall colors on that tree!
I don't really have much in the way of plans for today, or this weekend for that matter, and it's a good thing since it's really overcast and gloomy here today in north Florida. It doesn't really show rain in the forecast, but you never know what's going to happen when it comes to Florida weather. I am planning on going to a Halloween party tonight, so at least it's something fun to look forward to.

@just4him I hope to have fun. It's a work party, and most of the people I work with are pretty young, so it will be interesting to see how they "party" nowadays.

No snow here yet (fingers crossed for it to stay away for another month or so).

Your day sounded like a plan. I can understand how you feel at the age you are and less chores. I feel the opposite. More than physical it’s the mental
Stress that’s taking toll on me.
Sometimes I feel I need a long break and do that thing, you’re doing. Sitting on a porch and sipping hot tea. Watch birds and butterflies wandering around, cool breeze swaying and I’m just sitting there doing nothing.

I still do a lot. Friday was a busy day, so a day of relaxation was nice.
I'm sorry you're stressed. Sipping hot tea and watching the birds and butterflies helps take the stress away.

My husband and I may go into town later. Our town is having the yearly Harvest Festival this weekend. It is always fun to walk through it, see the crafts, food and hear local singers.

That's what my line of thinking is all about - the days are the same for me as a retired employee. But it's not for I have to bring my grade 4 granddaughter to school early in the morning and fetch her before noon. Then get her back to school afternoon and fetch her after class at 4pm.
