Stuck At Starting Block

Nuclear Test

We are still stuck at the starting block right from our primordial days when it was a fight for survival. Any stranger was an enemy and intentions were taken as hostile. Nothing much has changed except we stockpile more powerful weapons of mass destruction by the day. Is it not a way to our doom and gloom? The plain truth is we cannot coexist. When someone has a different approach to life, it is enough reason to get that person out of the way. We are ready to fight even on behalf of our creator who has created everyone and the environment for us to flourish to make our lives heaven on earth. I read a header World ‘holding breath’ over possible N Korea nuclear test. Well, we do know it can go horribly wrong and we can do nothing about it. When a few are in an exclusive club, others want to gatecrash. Maybe, the more the merrier or sooner the end. When will we stop our itch to fight and go to war by needling others? Will we ever? Unfortunately we have many here in the US that seem to enjoy being at war. Not a way to live but they will not listen to common sense it seems. So let's blow up the world. What a crazy way of thinking.

The sad fact is one percent is enough to take down the rest too. The minority spoils for wars as they benefit from them in many ways.

@Shiva49 I know this to be very true. It is called insanity in my opinion to allow this to happen.

I think in every nation there are peace abiding and loving people and people who are hatemongers or quarrelsome. These coalition of hatemongers create all the havoc that others become victim of.

We have to elect leaders who are mere politicians who start with the self, party, and then the common folks. When they put the welfare of all without borders as the priority, then we will take the step towards awareness and wisdom. However, it looks like a dream now.

Some are playing with fire - the only way they can remain in the headlines - for the wrong reasons by endangering humanity as a whole.

You are so right Shiva. Human nature, or at least some of the humans, want only destruction, even if it includes themselves.

In fact, they want to take down all along with them too thus going against the very spirit of creation and future generations.

Modern war wouldn't spare anyone. Others call it as "push-button" war.

And more powerful weapons of mass destruction are traded across the world for the right price! Peace follows war but no one wants to prevent wars. The UN is toothless.

@Shiva49 I do agree with you. Since the world begun, war was inevitable. There are so many reason why war is being waged.

I don't think the itch to fight will ever end. Wish it would though.

Yes, it could lead to our end eventually - sooner or later. Sad that we spurn the blessings showered on us.

I just wish people would be rationale, get rationale people and I bet 90 percent of the wars would stop.

I think the huge egos of our supposed leaders come in the way although the common folks yearn for peace. And also the few who dictate terms to whoever is in power for their own self-interest.
