Caramel custard for dessert

We had lunch at a restaurant and decided to splurge on some dessert. My wife chose caramel custard and since we are not big eaters, we decided to share it with. Yummy, and there is certainly something special when you share dessert with your spouse. The kids had chocolate mousse and they decided they'd share one serving too. So no dessert wasted and some happy family time together. Do you like to order desserts when you eat out?

I love caramel custard too. It’s my favourite. Or crème brûlée mostly they are one and same thing. Yes we do order deserts when we go out for dinner. But being diabetic we need to control on lot of portions of sweet and other savouries too. I miss eating out, it’s been a while we went.

We stopped eating out during the pandemic. We've started going out again this year.

@pitstop We stopped going out for same reason but the big reason was a tight wallet. Less salary

I´m not much interested in desserts. At home I usually eat fruit but don´t make desserts. At restaurants though, there are some much too delicious desserts. So, when I go out with someone else, we usually ask for more spoons and we share.

When eating out the meal for me really isn't complete without dessert. We rarely eat out though.

We eat out once a week, but splurge only about once a month.

@pitstop The restaurants around us are very pricey unless you go for fast food and we can eat better at home.

I love desserts and often have just an entree if we're out so that I have room for dessert. lol

@JudyEv I'm a light eater. Out entire family is. So the number of dishes we order is usually less.

Home made desserts are way cheaper. Sometimes we just go to a cake shop or bakery on the way back and pick up dessert or drop into an ice cream shop.

It depends on how filling the main course is.

They say the stomach has a special compartment for dessert. I haven't found mine as yet,!!

It depends on what the restaurant offers for dessert. I'm glad your family had a good time together.

I sometimes skip them as they are very pricy and am too stuffed after the main course.
