New Job: Power B.I.

For the last 2 1/2 years, my husband had been wanting to enter full-time retirement from IT as Programmer and Senior Analyst.
Bureaucracy, politics and too many regulations just tired him and frustrated him. Projects he could have done with his 40 years skills and experience in IT-- thwarted and delayed daily. Projects got dragged on unneccessarily.
Thank God, a former colleague from another department asked my husband if he'd like to consider the job as a Senior Power B.I. manager.
He applied. Studied the field of Business Intelligence. Went for an interview.
3rd, October 2022: He got offered the job as Power B.I. Analyst. We asked for prayer, advice and help from our Christian friend who also does Power B.I. working at another company/industry in Melbourne.
He's so excited! All his stresses and anxiety suddenly gone. He's happy. He started on the 11th October this month.
So, retirement isn't very soon in coming. God has other plans. A miracle!

It sounded like he is demoting himself from a Software Engineer to a Data Analyst?

I don't know. He sounds so genius to me whenever he talks to other ITs and Business Intelligence people. LOL. It's also reflected in his salary. A win. It's God we always turn our gratefulness to. :-)

@solidcodes He does work
with software and all that... I think, but as an IT programmer and analyst. Not an 'engineer', per se. Is Power Business Intelligence Analyst not an IT? I don't know. Sorry. My adult sons did not take after their father's interest and skill in IT when they were deciding for uni (8 years ago).

@jstory07 His excitement is so contagious. The promotion is an answer to my prayers that "may the delight and joy of working return to him." And God granted it, graciously.

Thank you, Carol @CarolDM . It is insane and it caused him so much stress and anxiety. He didn't feel free to work as he saw fit to benefit the company. That concerned him. And I felt I had to do something, which was definitely not towards no-job-retirement at 67 :-).
