My Heart was touched when reading earlier today. I was reading about a woman whose son died. As time went by she donated her son's clothing to an organization who helped the homeless. She went through her son's clothing finding all the pockets in each piece ... as she found one after the other she put a $5 dollar bill in each one! What an amazing, wonderful act of kindness, caring. After I read her words I sat thinking about how a homeless person would feel when finding $5 bills in each shirt pocket, each jeans pockets. I'm sure they'd feel gratitude... just pure gratitude. I know in my mind I would be saying thank you to whoever did this.

Yes, it truly is. It touched my Heart deeply. It also, gave me ideas to help in another way when I do things to show I care.

I do like this act of kindness, but maybe it would be better to actually give the $5 to a homeless person that you see on the street. Most of the clothing that is given to the homeless is gone through and maybe even laundred before the homeless person gets it. There are two homeless people who sleep on the street near where I work, so I am preparing the money to give to them, so when I see them I won't have to go into my purse and get it out. I am also thinking of giving a blanket to one of them who seems to be more needy than the other one.

Yes, I understand about clothing being checked. I love your way of giving best. I love to see I did the right thing when I see someone's eyes. They don’t have to say thank-you or anything because once I give I am thankful, grateful I could. I don't stand there expecting to be praised for doing someone all should be doing when each of us can. One of the first things I do when I come into extra money is to be on the lookout for someone I feel, sense needs kindness, caring ... I can see in their eyes they are sad, hurt. I wish I could make everyone's eyes smile.

@GrannyGee Today I passed by the homeless person, and he was asleep, so I just put the money in his cup. I hope that no one took it from him.
