An employee who was working inside of the Nestle Toll House Cafe in Lake Tahoe California must have been scared seeing a bear that entered the restaurant on a Wednesday night. Since no one in their mind wanted to mess with the bear, they allowed the bear to help himself to eat some cookies that were on the shelf before the employee called 911 to report the invasion of the bear inside of the cafe. A police officer entered the cafe and he managed to shoo the bear away from the cafe so the bear could leave the cafe unharmed. Thank goodness no one got hurt in this incident. I am not sure if there any customers inside of the cafe when the bear showed up to have a snack before the bear will take winter nap next month until the return of the spring next year.

It is close to the time period where the bears are ready to take their winter nap according to wildlife officials.

@CarolDM You are correct since the bears want to have their bellies filled up before their nap time.

These incidents are happening more frequently these days. Saw a few more videos on FB too where a bear enters a store and takes candies. Though was owner was ok with it, still we cant understand the mood of a wild animal all the time.

With winter around the corner, bears are entering buildings and houses to enjoy their meals now before they take their winter rest.

@Gnana_Helps Just before winter comes, bears are known for eating a lot of food according to an official who is an expert in the behavior of bears in Colorado.

I agree with you that the bear just wanted to have a snack. As far I know, no wildlife officials want to harm a bear unless it is in self defense.

I would not try to mess with a bear when they are eating their snack either.

I agree with you since bears are not animals to be messed with in a public setting.
