Okay so I swear I'm back this time for real. The last few months have been wild. My mom had two strokes which have sent her to live in a nursing home now. She's doing pretty decent though and also getting help for her mental illness which went untreated for years. This means I'm finally free to have a life and go back to working full time! So, I've gone back to being a high school teacher - this time at an alternative school for students who are behind in credits. Its actually a really easy job because most of the student's classes are computer based. I'm currently writing this while visiting another location because the location I work at is closed today for voting. We are in a school district owned building and just two of us work for the alternative school company, so the rest of the staff are district employees and doing district in-services today. Other than that, I'm trying to clean up the disaster that is my mom's former house and handling all the Medicaid issues for her to get nursing home funding.
