And I did this overnight?

When I went to bed last night, the last thing I did was weigh myself. I weighed 218.0 pounds. I had a pretty rough night.
I woke up early today, just about 6 a.m. I finally decided that if nothing else, I needed to go to the bathroom. Still, I hopped on the scale, that I had left down to weigh myself in the morning. I weighed 214.0 pounds.
???
I mean, all I did was sleep, sort of, mostly.
Still, I then went to the bathroom. I had left the scale down because I thought I might lose a pound after I peed. When I came back I weighed 210.4 pounds.
Good grief!
That was 7.5 pounds overnight! And I didn't do anything but sleep, well, a good bit of tossing and turning, but sleeping too.
And, if you are interested, that's over 20 pounds from where I started in March.

I hope you slim down to your desired weight. How tall are you?

@ElicBxn It is difficult to reach the weight of our dreams. But a bit less will still help. I went down 10 kilos in a week when I had gastroenteritis and was at the hospital. That is NOT the best way to lose weight. But I have been working on not gaining the weight back after all that. And so far I have done fine. I am not dieting but I´m eating smaller portions.

Ok, I just weighed myself, before and after peeing. There was barely a pound's difference. You must pee like a race horse...
When I woke up this morning, I was on my side, and I moved my hips down without moving my shoulders. I did this until I couldn't move down any more, and when I got up I felt so much taller.

@ElicBxn You're lucky your bladder doesn't insist on being emptied when you're sleeping. I get up at least once a night, sometimes more.

@BarBaraPrz I seldom am awaken, probably because I nearly am never able to get back to sleep - today, for example, I woke up about 6 because I was hurting.

@ElicBxn I do it often...when I am losing weight I become obsessed with the scale and weight myself after and I notice how it always weighs differently throughout the day.

@Happy2BeMe oh, differently throughout the day is normal, you eat, you drink, you pee, you... well... you know... I've always been told to not weigh daily when dieting, I just don't always remember to weigh first thing in the morning.

I guess you ll feel happier when you saw the weigh turn down overnight without doing something :-D but i think overnight the body have some burning process, so instead of come out to pee, the burning will exceeded some sweat, breath (carbondioxide) and it was 4 pounds. Congrats

@sayang3912 I do have a little ritual. But I've had insomnia as long as I can remember, so sometimes it doesn't help.

@ElicBxn maybe you have a problem with your quality of sleep. You should do some ritual before sleep. I think. You can turn on the humdifier and put it with some aromatherapy like peppermint and lavender

@ElicBxn I've written several posts on my intermittent fasting journey. One of which shows a before and after (you have to scroll down to see the after picture in a comment). I stop eating at 7pm and don't eat usually until 1pm. It's 18 hour fast as opposed to the 16 hour fast it's supposed to be, but it sure has done the trick.

@patgalca I have some serious low blood sugar problems, so I have to be really careful about fasting. Now, I do fast, sort of, while watching out for the low blood sugar. I will brush my teeth shortly after I eat my dinner/supper/whatever you want to call it. Then I will drink sugar free drinks, lately I've been drinking water in my Cirkul bottle. Hot tea and some sugar-free sodas. I get up by 9 most days and eat shortly after I get up. I normally will not eat or drink anything with calories between then and my evening meal.
