This story is odd to say the least since on Sunday the Aurora Police Department were called by a concerned citizen who saw a huge hog on a street on Sunday evening.
The Aurora police officers used kindness and compassion to capture the hog who was seen eating apples to take him off of the streets to take it to a warm place for the rest of the evening.
The next day the hog was taken to the Aurora Animal Shelter the next morning where the animal shelter officials were able to contact the owner of the hog who was able to reunite with his lost pet.
The mystery is how did the hog get away from the owner in the first place?

@RubyHawk I understand your viewpoint. Bacon is eaten on occasion in this home.

@Deepizzaguy I used to like the taste of bacon but I don't eat meat now. I'm vegetarian.

I share the same feelings since I would not like to harm a hog myself.

@Deepizzaguy Some will hunt the hogs unfortunately, like they do deer.

I share your feelings that the police were able to take care of the hog and return the hog with his owner.

I'm glad that the hog was captured and returned to its owner without mishap.

I agree with you since no law enforcement official or wildlife control officer wants to kill an animal except for self defense.

Indeed! Well, at least the hog is safe and back with it's owner.

Yes it is nice for a hog to return to his owner after spending time on a street in Colorado.

@oahuwriter I would be amazed seeing a hog eating apples myself.

@Deepizzaguy
It must have been a sight to see, a hog munching on apples.

I know if I was a police officer, taking down a hog beats chasing down. a criminal.

Neither did I since I know that hogs can kill humans who get in their way.

I share the same feelings of catching a hog than chasing a criminal.
