Snow on the ground here. I am so glad I don't have to go outside. Poor daughter. She goes out in it. The leaves on the three trees outside my window are laden with snow. We had some fog during the night which I enjoy. I fell asleep and missed it though.
We all really need to be thinking about climate change. Let your local representatives know you want them to bring this to the table. We need to be doing something now or we will be sorry.
Those on The Hill that think climate change is a hoax need to get a grip on reality.

It's not the government's responsibility to "fix the planet' it's up to us as people. We have people shooting each other in the streets, because officials are afraid to touch the second amendment. Now you want them to do what? Force people to recycle more? seriously?

No, not at all. I think the states need to set up some knowledge videos and programs so people can see that it is real and not a hoax. Then go from there. These things should have been done long ago.

@kaylachan ...........But, I think it needs to start at the state level. I really don't think enough people in office take it seriously.

@celticeagle Yes, but that would be on the state level, not the federal. Maybe you can organize something for your county/city and start there? My husband and our neighbors do use our recycle bins, some of my neighbors havig two or more. but I'll agree it's like they don't care. I am seeing some bigger bins in some places, but the bin I get to put my trash in is three times the size I get to put recyclables in.

I'll send you some.
It is so weird but some people actually think it is just a Democratic hoax. Geesh! Grow up people.

@just4him ........So pretty. I will have to get with my daughter and make snowflakes. Paper and scissors used to be the way but several years ago I found a sight were you can make them. It's fun! I'll have to find it. Found it! It is snowdays.me

Personally, I'd like to change the climate to long, sunny days with short, gentle rain at night. Permanently.

That is how our spring and summer days used to be around here. It would get hot and then there would be a nice shower at the end of the day to cool it down. That was perfect weather to me. I can see the need for fall and winter, especially here in farm country, but, I don't think we need the heavy snow here in the cities. Let that happen up in the mountains.

Snow...that is fun! Although it will start getting colder after Sunday, don't think any of that is in the forecast.

I am not ready for snow and having to drive in it. Their talking that we could get some snow on Sunday I hope it is not true & if we do it's not much. Supposed to rain tomorrow and storm so who knows.

@celticeagle Right that's why whenever I'm with my boyfriend & it's snowing or raining I make him drive unless it's day time then I do the driving.

I used to hate driving when there was snow on the ground. You can't tell if there is black ice under the snow. I am so glad I don't drive anymore.

I enjoy snow for the most part. My Dad truly loved the snow. He hated it when we lived in Texas and Louisiana for several years when I was young. He wanted to get back to ''seasons'' as soon as possible. We had a few snow showers about 3-4 weeks ago but it was too warm to stick. However, it does look like we will get some snow before too much more time passes.

I enjoyed the snow when I was young. But when I got to driving that changed real fast.

@MarieCoyle ..........Yes, all works out. That's a good thing.
ICE. Oh, goodness. I had a very scary experience out in our parking lot here one winter. They put something on it now but one year it was like a skating rink out here and if I hadn't had a car right in front of me I would have gone down hard on the ice. So scary.

Yes, it can be difficult. I try hard to plan ahead and not go out a lot when it's bad outside. But that gives me time to do some things I enjoy doing, like sewing and reading and cooking, so it all works out. My main winter enemy is ICE. I truly detest ice storms. I can usually walk on snow, but I do not care to try to walk on ice at all.
