Animal rescuers save a kitten trapped in a truck wheel

A small kitten who fled from animal control officials ran into some real trouble when the kitten was trapped inside of a wheel of a truck in Lawrence Massachusetts last Friday afternoon when neighbors reported seeing a family of 4-week-old kittens running in the streets of the city. While the Lawrence Animal Control Officers were able to pick up from the majority of the stray kittens and take them inside of their vehicle so they could be taken to an animal shelter to be placed up for adoption, one kitten who began to cry for help caught the attention of the animal control officers who to safety. managed to remove the kitten from the truck wheel to safety. The stray kitten was taken by the Massachusetts Society For The Prevention and Cruelty To Animals (MSPCA) in Methuen at a facility called Nevins Farm where the kitten will have surgery for a leg injury. The best hope that the stray kitten that was saved from his trap in the wheel of a truck will be placed up for adoption where a loving family will have a chance to share their love with a small kitten. How many kittens were on the street at the time when the animal officers picked them up from the streets is not known.
