We stay about 100 km from the coast and there is an orange alert out for expected heavy rainfall with winds. The government authorities announced that all schools will be closed due to the weather. This is the second time this is happening in the last one month.
The announcement was made late at night when the weather at our city was still pleasant, but it's been drizzling intermittently through the night. The problem here is that the city floods even with a short, heavy downpour - so everything gets messy.
Kids get to snooze in and stay bored at home! And the morning sunrise is very cloudy and there's a very light drizzle still happening. Other than the messy roads, I love rainy days!!

Messy and waterlogged roads can be a big headache if one has to step out on rainy days.
But otherwise, one can enjoy being at home on such rainy days!!
The hill views' looks very nice in the above picture!!

That is good. Longer distance would have meant greater trouble!!

Skip, my husband, loves rainy days too. We are supposed to get a lot of rain, possible tornadoes tomorrow from Hurricane Nicole ... it left a lot of devastation in Florida in the past couple of days. Now it's traveling our way to North Carolina. I hope you all stay safe.
