I am a Second-hand Smoker

I did not know he is a smoker until he first visited me in my flat. The first time my boyfriend came to my place he was hesitant to smoke inside. He did not want to smoke inside, but I still allowed him. It was no issue to me. I did not mind at all because I love him. He does care and is always worried I become a second-hand smoker. In fact, I occasionally tease and ask permission from him to smoke, but he never allowed me to. He is concerned about my health, so he never said yes when I tried talking him into my starting to smoke. I always get a big NO.
If you were my boyfriend, would you actually allow me to smoke given that you are also a smoker? What would be your reasons for not allowing me? Is it because of my health or that you don't want to kiss someone who smokes?
By the way, I bought my BF two kinds of vapes, one is 6000 puffs and the other one is refillable. I bought him vapes in an attempt to make him stop smoking but to no avail. He actually promised to minimize smoking and he said that he would eventually stop. However, I guess he has difficulty in quitting smoking. I am a bit sad about this because I am concerned about his health. I wanted him to stop smoking. My father is also a chain smoker, and my father now is 82 years old. He is still alive and kicking despite being a chain smoker and a heavy drinker.
Anyway, when my boyfriend gets to my place his ash tray is always ready. He smiles when he sees it and appreciates my gesture. I am even planning to buy him a beautiful ashtray. I like the smell of my room and when I miss him I sniff the smell of his smoke. I actually miss him now. He has a terrible headache as he said.

I can't handle smoke, so my husband doesn't smoke in the house. I won't allow it. He never smoked in apartments anyway, so me asking him not to in a confined area, wasn't a big deal.

Nobody in my family currently smokes. At least one of my sisters did at one time and so did my Dad but they all quit a long time ago. I'm around smokers at work all the time. They vape on breaks. They all want to quit.
