As summer closes and comes to an end and winter arrives once again
We look to the leaves and the trees and give thanks to those that have blessed our lives
We give thanks to those who have touched our lives and thanks for those who have left
we give thanks to those that are still with us and those who were heaven sent.
We thank those who crossed the plains to start the national path
we give thanks who were here from the very start
we thank those who protected us during our time of stife and toil
and thank those who blessed this world with the travel of oil
we give thanks to those who cooked and slaved over the heat of stove and oven
and thanks to those who faithfully and dedicatedly govern.
May we have enough in our hearts to share with those who are without and enough love to give to those who need a shout
Be mindful of those who are traveling great distances to be with us this holiday season and may they not be the problem but the reason.
We love those who are with in our reach every day but often we forget those who are far far away,
Remember those we have lost but not forgotten and be forever greatful for those who are still here with us.
IF we are blessed with loved ones close and dear we hold tight to them and wish them good health for the coming year.
May God bless us all as we celebrate this thanksgiving day
And may we be blessed till the next season of making hay.
May our journies be safe and strong
and may we right all of our Wrongs.
Happy thanksgiving to loved ones near and far
Regardless of where ever you are.

Good, some meaningful words there, and good sentiments about thanksgiving.
