starved to death

Have you ever thought the worst way to die? isn't hunger one of them?
This morning I watched TV while breastfeeding my child. Then the morning news came on. The news is reporting in a part of my country, Four bodies have been found in one house, it is suspected that they are still relatives in the family.
The forensic team found no food or liquid in the stomachs of the four bodies. This means they don't eat and don't drink for a long time. Strangely from this death case, their house was locked. Did someone lock them up?
How the neighbors didn't notice there was something strange about their house. Don't they ask for help if they're locked out. They are also not bound by ropes.
If they weren't being locked up, would they really be starving because they don't have anything. Isn't it instinctive for humans to try?
I feel guilty to them. I await further news of the results of the police investigation.

Autopsy results indicate that they hadn’t eaten or drunk anything for a quite long period prior to their deaths.

I'm not sure because from what I read the forensic team found no injuries.

@Herahestia93 A human can survive up to 50 days without food if they have water to drink. I am suspicious about this.

@LadyDuck From what I've read this family doesn't get along with people. This case is still under police investigation. I'll let you know when it's out.

That's so sad. It's strange that their house was locked. Hope the police can find out the truth.
