The oldest piece of clothing in my wardrobe is my high school uniform. We have a big alumni reunion once every ten years. The reunion has a number of activities, including a dinner party, visit to the school and charity events. The principal and teachers were invited to participate. I wore my school uniform to visit the school. I am grateful that my body shape hasn't changed much over all these years.

That would be a heavy winter coat. I bought it years ago, before I started having problems with always being too hot. I haven't been able to wear it for 15 years because it was too heavy, even in the coldest part of Winter. Now that the doctors are treating me for hyperthyroidism and I'm not always too hot, I should be able to wear the coat again.

@Beestring Yes, it's a heavy leather coat. I had it treated before I stored it in the closet so nothing could damage it.

@DaddyEvil It's good that you got the coat treated before storing it. I had a leather before. Probably because of the humid weather here, there were molds on the coat.

@averygirl72 May I know why not? Just a few items won't need a lot of space.

Years and years ago (we won't go there) my sister had a poncho like a blanket, with fringe on it. We both wore it; it was so warm and comfortable. We passed it back and forth for simply years...she passed away in 2003 after a long illness. In the shift of things, I got the poncho. It's pretty well worn out, of course. I cannot bring myself to toss it, she loved it.
Oh, the things that touch our hearts.

Once in a great while I have to take it out and look at it, and remember her long hair draped into the hood part, and how pretty she was. And so, so loved.

Hmmm good question, I have some oldies for sure. I have a pair of boots that are quite old, may have been purchased in the 80's.

I have a jacket that I wore in 7th grade. I could never get rid of it because it is a unique dark green leather with a hood that is trimmed in fur.

@Beestring It's a pretty standard down jacket from...I'm not sure when. The 1990s?

Your winter coat must be made from good quality materials that it can last so long.

@Beestring The lace is a bit harsh to sit on. I rarely wear a petticoat nowadays.

@Beestring I would have to say the same. I have kept a shirt from Primary school and Highschool because when we were finishing, we all signed eachother's shirts. So I keep them as memory.

How long it has been that you graduated from High school? It's great that you still fit in those clothes. Some of my fancy silk tops date back to High school and college time. I still fit into that. But now I have gifted them to my daughters as I feel it's more suitable and fancy for college going girls.

My parents took each of us children to a professional photographer around our first birthday to have a nice still portrait done. My grandmother knitted me a wool dress to wear for my photo, that was 60 years ago, and I still have that dress. It has faded to more of a peach than a pink, but otherwise it has help up well.
I also have my wedding gown, now 36 years old, as well as the shoes and hat that I wore on that day. All boxed and preserved for time.

I keep the ones with special meaning to me. For other clothes I won't wear, I donate to charity.
