Lately I saw a Mylotter's discussion about a game called The Sims. I like this game very much and in the past I enjoyed playing it. I remember I bought this PC game and it contains a CD. I just realized that it was not easy for me to play it again since today my PC doesn't have a CD/DVD ROM I think I am quite outdated about the PC games today. Perhaps today they don't sell CD/DVD versions, perhaps they allow buyers to download or something like that. I am not sure since I haven't played PC games for quite a long time.

They still sell games on CD/DVD, but you can download the version online and pay for it.

There are probably other games that you could play that you would enjoy. I hope you find something.

Yes, today, you can go directly to site, too. Games in facebook, greatergood.com , I know you can just go to site and play. Both needs you to get free account.

In the past even I still used floppy disks and CD/DVD fame wasn't that long ago now it's all stored in chips. To run the game without a CD, you have to use software to convert the hard drive to a CD.

They still sell the CD/DVD copies of the games but you can also get the online version of the game that doesn't require the CD/DVD to load the game. If you still have your disks, you can buy a CD/DVD player that plugs into your USB ports on your laptop and load the disk that way. In the US, the plug-in player costs about $50. It's a common attachment for a laptop.

Today the plug-in player isn't popular and the PC and laptop doesn't have CD/DVD ROM already. Perhaps the online version will be better, but sometimes I feel better to own something real

@youless My last laptop didn't have a CD/DVD ROM, so I bought a disk player and a friend gave me a disk player. I still have two of them even though the laptop I use now already has one. I'd rather own the disk, too.

I remember my kids playing those Sims games. I don't know if people play those PC games anymore or if everyone plays games on their phones
