Their full name - Harris’s antelope squirrels and are often mistaken for chipmunks. They have distinct markings on their grey fur, with brown highlights on the sides and legs and a white stripe down the side of the torso and encircling their eyes. They make their homes in the Southwestern US, specifically in Arizona and the southwest of New Mexico. They can also be found in Mexico, northwest of the state of Sonora. They live in desert habitats including deserts with cacti and desert shrubs. These squirrels can also be found in open plains with gravel and sand.
Harris’s antelope squirrels are omnivores and their diet includes fruit and the seeds of local cactus plants, as well as the beans of the Mesquite plant. They supplement their diets with insects, small rodents, and carrion. These squirrels are active during the day and don’t hibernate. They climb cacti to scan the territory and live in burrows found under various shrubs. Being desert inhabitants, they carry their tails over their bodies to provide shade. Their heat reduction method is to move to shaded positions and lie spread-eagled against the ground. They are solitary creatures and only meet during the breeding season.
The breeding season takes place between February and March, but can also take place between December and June. Females have one litter per year with an average of six pups. They grow to an adult size at around 217 days after birth.
And the cutest video ever

@sol_cee they are creatures all of their own. Nothing to do with antelopes or chipmunks species,
