Short Travel Trip Tales II : The Day One: Meeting old Friends and Hotel Stay

I reached the destination Railway Station by around 11.15 AM.
I had some refreshments, went to the washroom.
An old friend came to pick me at the station. Together we went to have something to eat. A few more friends dropped in for some time. I met them after 16 years!
So much to talk and so little time.
Then, other friends left and we too went to a local lake.
We walked, talked, walked, talked multiple times!!
I didn't take any pictures as I did not feel like taking and instead just talked.
I had planned to move ahead to my Hill destination by afternoon 3 or 4 PM but it got quite late.
I had a Masala Dosa (a South Indian Staple food)in the evening and proceeded to my destination.
The ride till the destination was mostly fine, save for the last 8 to 10 kms which was a degraded hill road.
Still my friend drove really well, although not everyone can drive as well there.
Finally I was at my Hotel by around 9 pm.
It was nearly 10 C colder (around 13 C) there and I had to wear a sweater in some time.
I just had a coffee, shower and it was time to rest.

I just had my blessed morning cup of tea on a cold winter morning.
I have trimmed the image a bit and uploaded.
Now it is visible.
Initially it was a family trip plan but due to some reasons or constraints, it was changed to a solo trip.
I did meet with my friends but many of the things were something that I was alone in experiencing.
I like this format of multiple posts for a trip which is in a kind of Blogging format.
Else it could have been a single but not so inspiring post in a jiffy.

Yes the room was warmer.
However the average elevation of this place is between 1900 and 2100 M above sea level and even gets sub zero temperatures and snow during the winters.

Yes and it isn't that we didn't have our differences but perhaps the fact that we faced initial job challenges together made our bonding stronger.
I stayed with some of them as well.
Close to 3.5 years with one of them!
