"CAMP H.M. SMITH, Hawaii -- The U.S. Space Force officially activated and assigned U.S. Space Forces, Indo-Pacific to the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command in a ceremony Nov. 22 at Camp H.M. Smith under the leadership of Brig. Gen. Anthony Mastalir."
United States Space Force, activated in Hawaii, was in the news, last night, in Khon2 news. United States Space Force, USSF, is the newest branch of the armed forces department. It began December 20, 2019, "with enactment of the Fiscal Year 2020 National Defense Authorization Act and will be stood-up over the next 18 months. "
USSF, has been activated, here in Hawaii on, November 22, 2022. From Khon2 to news article,
"the Force operates and defends critical infrastructure in space that everyone relies on"
Mission of USSF:
"The U.S. Space Force is a military service that organizes, trains, and equips space forces in order to protect U.S. and allied interests in space and to provide space capabilities to the joint force. USSF responsibilities will include developing Guardians, acquiring military space systems, maturing the military doctrine for space power, and organizing space forces to present to our Combatant Commands. "

Yes, at Hickman Air force base. By sight about 5-7 miles away and by car 20 minutes away. But, no civillans allowed.
