Our small city is rich in traditional beliefs or superstitious beliefs and one of them is diwata or fairy who lives near the falls.
To this effect, a replica or statue of this fairy was sculptured by Joel Espartero as one of the factors that brought many blessings to Mangkas or ancient La Carlota.
The said Diwata statue at La Carlota public plaza was water damaged by the super typhoon Odette last December 17, 2021.
And recently it was facelifted job by ENRO workers under Noel Gamilla, the department head and with the closed supervision of sculpture artist Raul Donguines.
Now it looks clean and vibrant as it gives a beautiful attraction to bystanders at the public plaza.

@Nakitakona If it it's any consolation, I do believe in the benefits of water. You know, "di water."

I don't believe in any Gods, other than possibly one supreme being.
