Winter job search plans

Happy Thanksgiving to my American Mylotter friends. I just wanted to chime in with my winter job search plans going forward as for next week. I talked to Danielle yesterday. Though she can't support me with my seasonal job, she can support me for my job search. She advised me not to apply or interview for any more seasonal jobs, though I bet they would be filled up by now. While I'm on my seasonal job at Tuesday Morning, I'll be continuing my job search for permanent work until something better comes along this winter. And if so, I can quit and move on. So I might be here for a month or the full two months. I'll continue to follow-up on the days off, or wait for emails and calls for phone requests. Mondays and Fridays are my only days off and reserved for interviews and/or volunteering at the shelter and clinic, while I'll take a winter break from volunteering at the zoo. (After tomorrow night, I'll hit 107 hours for the year.) Outside of my seasonal job, I'll still do Upwork in the evenings. The top non-seasonal contenders I hope to hear back from next week are Pet Supplies Plus and Shoe Carnival, while the seasonal ones at Dick's and Michael's, I might have to let go ,and maybe re-apply in the winter. I'm still going to keep my interviews with Marc's and Walgreens next week, along with the recently added interview at Citi Trends also on Monday and after Marc's. As for my three current interviews this week: Sally (has to be rescheduled since the store manager wasn't it, but will be declined since it's seasonal), Nosh (got lost walking to the location and asked to reschedule--originally for seasonal, might get it to part-time if rescheduled), and J. Jill (the two-month temp job sounded nice to work once or twice a week, but due to transportation logistics for working on weekends when there's no bus service, it wasn't possible and passed on). Like in the past for my training days in September and June, I'll give you a weekly report on what I've done at the store. I'll check in with you all this weekend to check in and post. Have a good holiday weekend.

@RebeccasFarm I agree. Though Danielle wants me to put it at the backburner, which would be hard to do, especially for working on weekends. If I find the perfect part-time job when I work 3-4 days a week for 15-20 hours, have Saturdays partly available, except for nights, when I return to volunteer at the zoo in February or March. I want to have Sundays a day off. But having open availability and having transportation logistics issues like in the past is hurting my chances to find the perfect job.

Thanks Ocean. It's so hard to find the right fit to accommodate me and give me some time to volunteer in between.

Thanks Lenore. I agree. No more seasonal for me. But if I can convert it to regular, that would be perfect. Or I have to reapply to those jobs in a month or two.
