Happy Thanksgiving!

My parents are deceased, and my son, brothers, nieces, and their families all live in other states, so my cat and I spent most of Thanksgiving alone, but it was peaceful. I said, "most of," because, although I asked her not to worry about me and spend Thanksgiving alone with her son, my next-door neighbor called and told me dinner was ready, so I needed to come fix a plate. Then, a few hours later, she knocked on my door and handed me a piece of pie.
