Rideshare and Mass transit drivers that speed and other offenses

The other day I had an Uber driver that was taking me home from work going a good 10 mph over the speed limit at least. Like what makes someone think they can speed or violate another traffic law if they drive for their job? I don't get it. It happens with mass transit too, like you're a bus you're not supposed to be speeding or running red lights or anything, what the heck? I mean, yeah, I want to get home quick but I want to get there in one piece too.
I think it's just an epidemic of people that believe "I can do what I wanna do, I drive how I drive, I'm above the law, it doesn't apply to me" or "I don't have to follow all the laws, if I hate it I can ignore it I'm not really hurting anybody" as if they just like own the road or something. It's also that thing of "oh that'll never happen to me I'm a good driver, so what if I drive a little faster, I can handle it" They think their reaction times are always gonna be 100% as fast as they are when they're not tired or distracted or under the weather or anything and the definitely forget that maybe other drivers on the road may react slower or not be as good a driver as them. They forget they're sharing the road with anybody else.
I just feel like it is wrong to drive the way you do in your personal vehicle in your personal time while you are working as a driver for other people, as with an Uber/Lyft/Taxi/Bus. Their boss should as well, since they are working for the public in a company that is meant to keep them safe and follow all laws designed for public safety. It's just that attitude recently of "I don't care, its all about me, I don't care about anybody else" It drives me nuts! I just want to get to my destination safely and without feeling like the driver is trying to kill me or something.

The speeding drivers have a bad attitude. They are endangering the lives of those they drive for and the passengers in the other vehicles along the road. Is there no way that you could report them? They should not drive until they learn road courtesy.

There is a way to report them in the ridesharing apps. It's just annoying that they think they should drive the way they do when they're on their own time while they are working.

I'm still waiting for the day I see a cop or highway patrol officer actually obeying a posted speed limit. I know not every law enforcement vehicle I've ever seen is responding to some emergency. Especially if it's a sheriff's deputy or police officer from several counties or towns away. Why should civilian drivers feel they have to obey the speed limit when no LEO they've ever seen doesn't? And don't even use the excuse that cops are trained to drive fast, because I've seen their pursuit training, and it's conducted under controlled conditions on a closed course with no resemblance to real-world conditions.

Sometimes they literally go lights and sirens just to run the red lights when there's not even an emergency at the time. They just do it to get around having to stop at the light, and they think it's just fine. Its annoying.

It is absolutely an epidemic and something I have experienced as well.
I do not drive, do not have a car, but some of these Uber and Lyfts are crazy drivers and these days there is not a thing you can do about it. I avoid now at all costs. They are freaking deadly.

Yes, taxis, Uber/Lyft, buses, etc., speeding, running red lights, turning when you're not supposed to turn, like those "no turn on red" marked corners, all that. It drives me nuts! And the taxis have the nerve to be doing all that and still take half the night to pick you up.
