Bickering on Thanksgiving

It's Thanksgiving Day, and a what would have been a wonderful day with the family turned a bit unpleasant. My mum and my favorite sibling had a bit of a misunderstanding because of the tone of voice. Mum's question wasn't actually a big deal, she was only asking about food prep for dinner but for some reason, my sibling took it the other way. Naturally, mum's feelings got hurt and I consoled her and apologized on my sib's behalf. When I had the chance. I also talked to my sibling about how mom felt, but, for some reason felt attacked instead. Can't help but cry whenever misunderstandings arise. I was trying to mediate but I got chewed out instead. Not sure what's up with them. Maybe they already are preoccupied or something, but I hope the air will clear out. One thing that made me somewhat thankful about what happened earlier though was how I was able to express my concern and love for the family. I hope my message for them was clear. Anyway, just came here to share because I have no one to talk to right now. Thanks for dropping by and for reading my post.

Thanks. We don't exactly speak up about how we actually feel. Unlike other families, we're not the vocal type... except for me I guess. Just worried about my mum though. It always breaks my heart whenever she gets hurt. Although she's not the vocal type, but her eyes don't lie. I'll try to make it up to her later.

Thank you, Shizuka. It's comforting that there are a lot of myLotters who would always leave some comforting words.
