Attending the Homecoming

It is an annual activity in our school where I graduated in high school. I am also working there. It's like I never left at all! Good that it was scheduled on a weekend. I seldom attend event like this but since I am a part of the administration, I am obliged to attend. It was a long night and I just waited to finish the opening ceremony. I had to be there to deliver the speech of our school head which I also prepared! (yes!) Its too crowded and I do not appreciate loud music on top of yelling (they are just so happy) Do you like attending homecoming? Photo is mine (thinking of going somewhere else to a quiet place like this)

I don't think I ever really have, and don't know if I ever will (at least not as 'a former student' ... I might do it the way you are, as 'a part of the administration'---but that's ... I don't even know how ... anyway,) The original "Homecoming game" was at Harvard University, where they played to be watched by alumni returning for their 20 year reunion.

@cherigucchi I've heard it's a way to relive your youth.

This is a pretty photo. I never liked to attend those kinds of events, now that I am retired I stay at home all the time.

I only attended the homecoming when we were the Batch Host. I only attended this year because I was obliged as I am a part of the administration to represent our School Head. I never enjoyed attending reunions especially high school reunions.

@cherigucchi Same as you, I never liked to attend reunions, sometimes we have no choice, but to go.

I seldom attend a homecoming especially during the pandemic and even in New normal. I don't like loud music too.

We have that annually but it stopped for 2 years because of the pandemic. There is a batch assigned to host the event yearly. This year was batch 1996

@cacay1 Yes that is right. We only resumed this year and it was a lot of fun for everyone who attended. I did not stay that long though

Children get so excited at such times. I'd be looking for a quiet place too.
