Unplugging Is A Good Choice

Unplugging is a good thing to do from time to time. Unplug the computer. Unplug our minds. That is what I have done for a few days. And I have enjoyed the time away.
Enjoying the little things in life as always. A sunset from the deck in the photo before the rain showed up. Relaxation. Laughter. All the good stuff in life to embrace.
Change in atmosphere is another good one I enjoy. Life is short. I have chosen to enjoy the moments. A break from drama. Issues. Any type of negativity is not welcome. My choice. And it could be yours as well. We all have choices to make in life. And each one has consequences.
Face to face conversations have also been enjoyed. Friends are the absolute best. True friends that is. There is a difference.
Enjoying a nice windy and cloudy day. I hope you are enjoying your life.
Photo is mine.

What a lovely photo, very beautiful! I have to unplug myself from everything, for at least one day each week. I have pain on the inside, that never goes away. We all have this. Being in solitary confinement is a treat, once in a while. Negativity brings a cloud overhead. I have no friends, by choice.

@CarolDM Solitary confinement, over exaggeration of alone time. Never for very long, of course.

I do get into that mood and for that I have my favourite corner where I sit and reminisce

@CarolDM I have not gone in for such extremes. My PC is kept on and I have peeped in there occasionally (lol)

Hi @CarolDM, and I don't mean to diminish my respect for you.
I can say that life is not always in a position where we have to choose something because we know that there is a God who arranges everything in this world, and it will be easier for us if we just do it from what is our responsibility in this world.
Because, as people who have religion, we will have two relationships, both to God and also to this world where humans are a part of it. And these two relationships give us a consequence in the form of responsibility.
Isn't life full of mysteries that we can't unravel with our minds? and with Religion, all of that can be answered.
May god bless you

@Jamalbawu1212 I say life is unfair because I lost my only child at 16 years old. Believing in God did not save him. That is unfair and no answers will ever make it fair. No parent should ever outlive their child. It just should not happen. Thank you for your response.

We all have our opinions and I hope this one works for you. Life can be very mysterious and often unfair. We have to roll with the punches and hope for better days. As for religion, too many unanswered questions for me. Thank you for your words and have a wonderful day.

@CarolDM Sorry in advance @CarolDM, bit off about fairness. My opinion is that we will never get a sense of justice if we ourselves do not have a sense of acceptance.
Meanwhile, the mysteries in this world are the will of God himself so that we are closer and know him well, where we have been given more than sufficient tools and features for us to use during our life in this world for us to be accountable to him later.
So, From where? How do we use it? and, what do we use it for? of the devices and features that God has given us, is an easy way, how we can get closer and get to know him about, in my opinion.
Happy to share my views and experiences with you. Thank you and Have a wonderful day to you too

Unplugging is something that always helps.
I think that all of us need to do it sometimes.
I did it to some extent during my short early November trip to the mountains.
Did you visit any different place from your home or just met people in your neighborhood?

Yes longer trips need more planning, time and money.

We had rain last night but it was sunny and windy today, I went out for a short walk and made more pictures of the yellow leaves before they drop on the ground. I really needed a little exercise and some fresh air after being inside the last few days. Glad you've had a relaxing time. That's a beautiful picture.

That's a lovely post. I totally agree there.
I was not here on the weekends. Two lovely bright sunny weekend days and I made a choice to go for long walks in the sun, enjoy reading while sitting and soaking sun, having face to face conversation with family . And I agree this was so nice.

I had Thanksgiving week off, and I unplugged a lot. I spent time with family and at home, watched some things I had recorded, did some cleaning and reorganizing, etc. When I'm off, I"m OFF. But tomorrow, back to work, and back to plugging in and doing some online stuff that I promised people.

I will be doing this later in the next few months. I get into depression and hibernating mode in January and February. Start coming out in March and April. I will be away from the computer but will keep the tv on.

@CarolDM .......As long as I have food, my Roku tv, and a warm blanket I can get through the depressing time.

I've been unplugged for the last few days and it was nice not to be tied to anything online. I didn't even bring my phone to Thanksgiving dinner and enjoyed the day with family. Sometimes I think I need more time away from the computer
