Be careful what you say - Big Brother is watching

The house where we are installing a brick path is near a railway station and a technical college. There is a bit of crime in the area and the house has security cameras on the corner of the house and above the steps that lead into the interior.
The owner, who is in hospital, can see what is going on at the house on his phone so he has been watching us working on the path. He can also hear us which is all a bit spooky. A bit like ‘Big Brother Is Watching’. I’ve been very careful not to pick my nose since I learnt about the cameras. (That’s a joke.)
The photo is of an ornamental frog at the house. There are a number of quirky things in the garden.

Do you wave at the camera?

@JudyEv - A neighbor had installed several cameras to detect burglars, but they were placed in a way that he could also see partly what the neighbors were doing. My closest neighbor (who works in the police) filed a complain and he had to remove the cameras.

I'm sure it feels weird being watched, but that is good he has a nice security system.

That's a fun frog. I know what you mean though, I would feel a little creepy about it, too. I know when I'm dog sitting (Like I am right now) - the owners have several cameras in the house, they talk to the dogs through the camera and sometimes it makes me feel odd, because I'm staying here. I mean, I know it's not something dire that they're doing, but I feel weird getting changed, or talking on the phone. Because I might not know where ALL the cameras are.

Here, cameras are installed everywhere. And there is no privacy in the internet world.

As long as the camera points at you only while you are working on that path and not all over the place, it should be ok although that is actually not necessary Why would he want to do it anyway?
I should add a few more artifacts in my garden too That frog looks cute.

@allknowing It's okay. The half-obvious often escapes me too.

I would be wanting him to turn those off while I worked. It would be creepy

That must feel a little eerie knowing you're being watched.

So you have a supervisor! That would make me nervous. Love the frog.

I'm willing to bet you might have picked your nose at least once since you've been working at that house... And the owner probably did a screen capture of it... If he hasn't, he should tell you he did just to watch you blush.
I like the frog...

I think for him it is probably enjoyable to be able to see you working on his house and helping him out while he is in hospital ,

@JudyEv Oh yes I love the song and dance routine. And if you could find any statue-type thing you could put there overnight or something like that - he can't be watching the yard all the time surely? And then keep moving things around - it would be like a 'spot the difference' for him
Obviously all this only works if you don't have to travel a long way to get there each time!

People in the city get a bit paranoid about safety. You can't really blame them.

That could be interesting but it doesn't make a lot of sense! What is a 'keep-going investigator'?? And simply finding miRNA does not imply cause and effect, miRNAs were first identified in the roundworm C. elegans and they are not noted for their intelligence!
