Packed railway compartments

Travelling on a daily basis by train in a city like Mumbai is a real feat. With loads waiting to get in and there being no limit as to how many can get inside a compartment the compartments get jam packed and if anyone has to get off one does not have to attempt doing it as they are just pushed out. My friend sent me a video where puppies got into a tub and managed to fit in there. I somehow could not post the link but managed to extract a photo. It was so amusing how they managed to get into that tiny tub the last one just jumping on top of all of tem. . The video's title as you can see is 'Getting into Mumbai Local' Have you ever experienced such a travel?

I remember when I was younger traveling in a boat launch from the Balboa pier in Balboa Panama to Taboga Island where the ride aboard the boat was crowded going and from the island to the pier.

Those babies are cute. We have overcrowded trains because of the many workers coming here from Italy every day.

I do not suppose anyone can monitor how many get in and out

@allknowing We know exactly how many, because they need a special working permit, the number is a little more than 77,000.

My little brother told me how packed train cars in India can get when he goes back and forth to work. That many people in any kind of conveyance wouldn't be allowed in the US.

That seems a very apt photo for the packed trains we've seen on movies and news. The video must have been funny. I've just searched for it and found it. It's very cute. They all seem to settle down pretty much at the finish.

@allknowing Here is the link: Is that all you wanted me to do with it?
This is the adorable moment six Labrador puppies squeeze together into a bucket. The video, filmed by Kentfield Kennels Labrador Retrievers shows the puppies squeezing together after dinner.

@allknowing I just tried it and it worked for me. I guess it's something to do with our individual countries.

The condition is no better in Kolkata local trains as well, and I have travelled in such conditions so many times that I lost count.

If the office timings are staggered this fiasco can be avoided.

You must have atleast one experience. I have travelled by train in the US as well - by Amtrak. It was a memorable travel from San Hose to Oxnard a straight line running through the sea coast.

I hate jam-packed things like lifts, buses, trains etc. Sometimes you can't get off at the right place because you have to fight your way to the door!

I took upon myself to go for private buses for office commuters where I was working. It was such a relief - from home to office and back
