Tyler Revel who lives in Wichita Kansas is grateful that his Pit Bull dog named Monroe who is a female and six years of age managed to get the attention of her owner by nudging his head and making noises to get his attention on Sunday around dinner time while he was sleeping in his home. When Tyler woke up he realized that an explosion from the back of Tyler's home was going to likely take the life of the dog and her owner would not survive. Both Tyler and Monroe were able to leave the burning home in time. The Wichita Fire Department arrived to put out the fire that was so severe that Tyler lost his home and his cat Boo who is female is missing at this point. Tyler has no plans to rebuild the home that he lost in the fire which was caused by an explosion in the back deck. Tyler admitted he smoked a cigarette in the back deck but he doubts that smoking the cigarette caused the explosion that destroyed his home where he lived for nine years. Tyler is currently sharing a home with a family friend for the time being until he can get back on his feet. Tyler is also going on record that the reports from the media that Pit Bulls are monsters is false since I am sure that breeds of dogs are not evil. It is how they are raised by their owners.

My belief is that all dogs are good natured at birth. When they are abused is when they are dangerous.

@Deepizzaguy Any dog that faces abuse, turns mean. Even those tiny little Chihuahuas.

@kobesbuddy My late dog Thunder who was a mixed breed German Shepherd and Black Labrador retriever did not like males since he was abused by his former owner when he was a puppy.

Tyler is lucky to have Monroe. I wonder what caused the explosion? I'm sorry that the home was lost and maybe his cat Boo.

It is under investigation by the authorities at this time. I am hoping that Boo did manage to escape the home before the fire consumed the house.
