How often do you tip workers?

I hope everything is well with you wherever you are.
It's a very good morning in my country and everything is cool here.
Yesterday I was in one of the largest shopping malls in my country for doing my household errands a little bit.
I then saw a couple of shoppers tipping the workers over the counter for having been impressed by the quality customer services offered to them.
I was not in a position to tip anyone as I worked on a very tight budget for sure.
So how often do you give out money to the workers in the service industry?
Enjoy your time in my lot

Usually, most Americans only tip servers in restaurants, but I have been given big tips when I've helped someone with a difficult problem they were having with their phone or laptop.

Congratulations for that my friend. I too fix phone problems to people but I am not lucky enough to be tipped by anyone.

@Treborika Some problems take a long time and a lot of work to fix. They were simply showing appreciation for the time and effort I put into helping them.
I'm sure, if people in your country could afford to tip for that type of services, they would tip you, too.

@DaddyEvil Probably, But again I am not that type of the people who requests for the tips. I usually duly wait for their courtesy and willing to tip me.

@Treborika That was nice of them. I understand where you are coming from. To be honest I don't think I've ever tipped anyone as I am like you. I cannot afford it. I am easily pleased and easily thankful but if I tipped all I was thankful for, I'd be extremely broke. The best I can do right now is thank them very much for their help.
But good thing is, they are already getting paid for their work so I know they are getting something out of it.

It depends because sometimes especially in the restaurants, there is a service charge so I do not give tip anymore.

Well instead of giving out tips you just pay for the service charge. I too would go for the service charge in the expense of a tip

It's not usual to tip in Australia. We find it a bit tricky when we visit a country where they do tip.

@Treborika I'm sure there is some corruption but I think in most areas they try to keep a strict eye on such wrongdoing.

It's seems that Australia is such a very fair and strict country that doesn't entertain corruption of any kind including tips

Only in the typical situations where a tip is warranted. For example, I tip waiters and waitresses and bartenders. I tip cab drivers (although I am rarely in a cab). I tip shuttle drivers who handle my luggage when I go to the airport or sky caps. I tip delivery drivers when I order for food to be delivered.
Other than that, no one else gets tipped other than to be told not to eat yellow snow.

@Treborika You may say that unless the service is really bad.

That's great. I think the tips motivates them to work more harder and they really feel humbled when they are being given
