I am kind of naive about this stuff. I began college as a math and physics major. Later, I switched to psychology and music.
Is the American Constitution an important thing? I was always taught that it was. But I admit that I could be naive.
What are your thoughts? Do you believe in the American Constitution? Or do you believe that it can be circumvented in certain instances?
Former President Donald Trump faced rebuke Sunday from officials in both parties after calling for the “termination” of parts of the Constitution over his lie that the 2020 election was stolen. Trump, who announced last month that he is running again for p

In our country the Constitution is very important. The constitution (should) ensures that decisions taken on behalf of the population represent the real public opinion. The Constitution can only be changed asking the population to vote and a large majority is needed.

@Namelesss I believe that Trump wrote what was quoted. But I'd have to see the whole "tweet" to see if something was taken out of context.

The Constitution is the very foundation of this nation. We need to be aware right now what is going on. Republicans need to kick him to the curb. I hope they are smart enough to do so before it is too late. If he gets in office they want to make it so there is no more elections. He just stays in office. Horrible thought.

@TheHorse .........What is happening in the country right now is so scary and I really believe that very little of it would be happening if it weren't for Trump. I sure hope they can keep the radicals at bay and get Trump to back off. In my dreams only probably.

I read that article and saw nowhere where he suggested suspending the constitution. What I did see was a quote 'most likely' taken out of context. Search as I might I have not been able to find the '''complete''' letter or whatever it was this was taken from.
Therefore I call bs on this 'possibly' twisted narrative based only on opinion. Do you have a link to the document or whatever it was, in full?
But to answer your most direct question; Yes, I do stand for our Constitution.
(beware opinion pieces that masquerade as news or fact)

I don't subscribe to "Truth Social," and can't find the original link. It could all be made up. Or taken out of context. I did find several more articles about the same statements, so my hunch is that they are real. But I could be wrong.

@Namelesss It sounds like he's still b*tching and moaning about losing the 2020 election. I'm not sure what positive change he stands for right now. But the same is true for many potential candidates.

@TheHorse Thanks anyway, I don't subscribe either. Probably is true but taken out of context.

That Constitution was the very foundation this nation was wisely built upon. Of the people, by the people and for the people, of the United States of America. Any airhead who wants to disregard the Constitution, is a powermonger, like in other nations with a Socialistic government. One man runs the show. Anyone who disagrees, they come up missing.

@TheHorse He claims that parts of the Constitution weren't followed. That election was not stolen, it was fair and square. Democrats have to follow the guidelines. Trump wants us to become a Socialistic government.

@RubyHawk I think he would be for more energy independence. I could support responsible drilling in American and Canadian oil reserves. I think the guys (and gals) in the trenches know how to generate oil responsibly while protecting the environment.

Sorry I no longer even know what the constitution is really all about. I always feels lately that there are a handful of people writing their own laws and running the show and not listening to the public at all. It all makes me feel like the US is a runaway freight train and if someone does not correct this situation we are going to derail and never get back on track again,

I think the Constitution is important, but we don't need to suspend it. He's so stupid.
