Mike Pence shades Trump today

Trump's Vice President Mike Pence broke from his former boss today during a radio interview. He was asked about Trump's comment saying that the United States Constitution should be "terminated" since the 2020 election was so "irrefutably fraudulent". It is funny that no 2020 GOP winners are still complaining that their races were fraudulent. It has taken a handful of prominent GOP politicians a good 48 hours to denounce Trump's suggestion of overturning the government to make him President again. *shudder* The first few were Chris Christie and Mitt Romney. Also some other GOP Rep who I had never heard of before. After that Senator Lisa Murkowski spoke up. Even new GOP darling Elon Musk said the Constitution was more important than the president. I've seen several clips of GOP pols doing their best tap dancing to try to avoid directly answering the question. It reminds me of the tap dancing scene in the musical/movie Chicago. I'll link that in a comment. The guy I saw with George Stepanolopolous (who knows how to spell that) yesterday was hilarious. Mike Pence did a CNN Town Hall with Jake Tapper 2 weeks ago. He criticized Trump at a medium-level saying that he was angry about the danger he and has family was put in after Trump's Jan 6 speech that sent a mob to the US Capitol. He made a point of saying that he thought Trump was remorseful (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA narrator: he was not). When he was asked if he would support Trump in a 3rd run for President Pence replied "well I think there will be better options" which was widely interpreted as him implying that he would be running. After Trump's insane demand to TERMINATE the US Constitution 2 days ago, Pence responded today. He said on a radio interview: "I must tell you that I think that everyone that serves in public office, everyone that aspires to serve or serve again should make it clear that we will support and defend the Constitution of the United States" Pence upheld the Constitution which earned him some respect from me but by doing that he infuriated the MAGA nutjobs to the point where they wanted to hang him and actually erected a noose on January 6. Mike Pence has absolutely ZERO chance of ever becoming even the Republican nominee let alone President but it is interesting to see him speak out against Trump. It shows Trump's increasing weakness.

I still don't see that he called for the termination of the constitution. They post the same quote from Trump, “A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution,” That appears to be in response to the twitter dump and referring to how THAT was the 'same as' allowing for the termination. Very distinct differences there and just another example of don't think just follow my lead.

@NJChicaa Guess I didn't get that call. No one asked or told me to do that and if they had I would have told them they were nuts.

Trump just cannot admit that he did anything wrong. The victim of a wicked plot, he's absolutely insane! Hitler went crazy and Trump has followed the same route.

Trump is a sore loser He should get over it and move on. If he does win, I'll pick anybody else over him to run for President.

I must say I think much better of Pence since he’s denouncing Trump.
