Our government has given a ridiculous statistics that its expenditure on pension is more than the salary they are spending towards the government employees. Isn't it ridiculous? Does it mean to say that the population of seniors citizens in our country is more than that of all government employees? Yes, it's true that each politician is drawing more than one pension. For each post that they were serving in the past they are drawing a pension. If a politician was a municipal chairman in the past he draws a pension from that office. After that if he served as a MLA he gets a second pension from there after his term. So it's their expenditure that's going on rising. Why are they getting one pension like other pensioners?

Politician said that they are not employee they are representative of public. Punjab government makes rule that every ex MLA or other politician will get only one pension. Other state also followed it.

It's not fair at all. Government pensioners have given years of their service to the government which is trying to deprive them of their rights.

@aninditasen I'm so sorry, we keep hearing stories about our benefits being cut down but it hasn't happened yet.

They are really padding their pockets! Pensions should be based on years of service, not how many positions you held.
