Streets Are Flooded ~ All Safe

Lots of rain in Tennessee over the past few days. We still have another night (tonight) and day of rain (tomorrow) forecasted. Some of the yards around my home are flooded. All safe here thank goodness.
A neighbor a few houses down just put out of her Christmas decorations last weekend. I hope they will be ok when the water drains. Just saw a guy on a small raft go by with his dog. The water is not really high enough for rafts. A few high spots here and there. I hope he is careful.
My neighbor (friend) has an elderly relative that lives in a rural area, alone. She wasn't answering her phone, so she and her husband went to check on her. She just sent me this photo. How scary. Her house is on the other side of this water.
They called 911 to see if someone could go and check on her. They will wait until someone shows up before they leave. Fire and rescue are on their way. Hopefully before dark. Water can cause a lot of devastation. I hope she will be found safe.

@CarolDM You're welcome. Yeah, if the phones are out, no telling who else may be stuck like that.

@CarolDM If the phone isn't working, then this lady could be in a panic!

@kobesbuddy I am sure she is. Hopefully I will get news soon. And she could be at a neighbor's house.

I hope they are safe and sound. We are lucky (knock on wood). When our neighbors' yards are flooded, ours usually remains pretty dry. Hope you are feeling well today.

@CarolDM Oh no! That's so serious if an elderly person falls and can't get help. I'm glad she's doing OK.

I hope so, too. After both Ian and Nicole, we had a lot of the same here in Florida.

@CarolDM Glad to hear that you are fine. And, stay alert to bad things that may be unpredictable.
I don't know for sure whether this is a result of climate change, but I have often seen natural disasters lately in other parts of the earth.

That’s so risky being on flood waters I hope it was slow moving. No way the person in the photo would get across that driveway yikes. You need to post more I had to scroll back to find posts I missed . I didn’t realize you lived in Tennessee. My aunt lives there.
