OMG Wednesday!

What a day Wednesday was, first I looked at the time sheet for lunch and I noticed I was backup cashier and the word " gifts" by my name, a first for me. So, I found the manager and he told me to help the frieght manager get the new add toys on the floor. Got that done and when all the employees were there he called a meeting up front, not a good meeting for the Tuesday backup cashier's. Me and another teammate were the only ones not included in the chew out. I asked what gifts meant by my name, it meant I was to take all the food gifts off a section of 8 feet by 8 feet, 3 tier's high and place other gift ideas, one section for men. I thought okay I got this and began tearing it down and putting food back on the shelves in the food section, got called up for cashier. After an hour back to my project. But..... Seems like every few minutes I was called back up to cashier. There was a steady flow of customers ALL day. I got home decor gift ideas out. I got tech gift ideas out. I got little drinking gift ideas out. There was already gift ideas out for women so before the day manager left he said " do the last section for men." Back to the cashier, I had 30 minutes before my shift was over and I asked a teammate and the assistant manager what does men like? So my assistant manager added a game and a teammate added a hunting item, but I needed more, a lot more gift ideas. I gathered nice coffee to go cups and some auto cup holders, but I was stumped because I needed more! Soo.... Me being me.....I asked customers about items, if he got this and that as a gift would he be happy..., I got a yes to a neck massager and....books. 5 minutes before clock out, I added auto books, wrestling books and camping books. My assistant manager approved! Ta-da... I was a cashier and I built this gift table. I hope the manager approves, he should, since he knew I could do the job. Crazy wide open Wednesday.
