Can you tell? I took the above picture back in 2003, the last time I can recall our mountains getting that many poppies. Can you see all the Merry Christmas stickers I put on it?
I love spring and back in the day there used to be all these poppies that would blossom right around early March or so. So one year I wised up and called in sick just so I could get some shots of these golden beauties and my silly boss never even found out. She was such a beach.
I've also realized something many of you already knew, I've been wasting my valuable time on a site like Inbox$$ just to make $10 in one month. I was spending more than 6 hours every day playing games just to get that .... nope, it isn't worth it.
I hope to simply try for maybe $10 every few months instead and use more of my time to do what needs doing around here.
So are you one of those who've already realized that spending too much time online isn't worth the effort?
Here's a song I just plain love.

Those poppies are beautiful and I can see the stickers... I do not know if I saw them all.
I found out that real life is much more important than spending hours online. I spend more time with my husband recently, he needs to remember and to train his memory.

Instead of trying to find Waldo, we have to search for the Christmas stickers...

@rebelann Have you forgotten the "Where's Waldo?" craze? Maybe you know him as Wally.
I tried posting a link to an explanatory video but FB found a "bad word" in the code: Capital C, lower case u, Capital M

I found a link to the history of waldo @BarBaraPrz
Today I found out about the history of Where’s Wally (known in the US and Canada as Where’s Waldo). The iconic, elusive man in the red-and-white striped shirt was first hidden away in 1987 by British illustrator Martin Handford. Handford had been drawing s

I would never be able to spend that much time online for so little payout. I even limit my time here every day.
Beautiful picture of the poppy field.

Beautiful poppies. I spend about 2-3 hours per day here to get all the Discussions read and the Notifications done. It gets to be like a job; but I want to keep in touch with my friends here. Have a great weekend.

Love those poppies - love your card! We tossed some poppy seeds into certain areas of the yard a couple years ago . . . we are now going in the 3rd season of them popping up "wherevers". For the last "drizzles", I see a lot of poppy sprouts coming up . . . let's see what survives in the new year!
I know it can be addicting to go on these sites and rack up a bit o' money . . . but yah, one day I realized it wasn't worth it too. I used to do all that stuff . . . videos, surveys, games, etc . . . and did "well" - but it was never equal to real job pay, in fact far from it. Had my fun with that . . . now I limit it to just myLot . . . and then I get more done around here (sometimes ).
I've never heard that song! Native music - that was lovely to hear - and looking at the comments it means so much to so many .

@rebelann Yah, it's nice to live and enjoy real life .
We did get some rain! I think it's done now, but it's still cold - to us anyway. If only it rained like that throughout the year - like it used to. We are thankfully ok where we are - floods and landslides can't touch us here. How about over yonder?

I still go on those sites but I only do the bare minimum now. It feels so good to have time to get a few chores done like playing with Roscoe and Tuffy.
Hey, I saw a news cast about some storm heading for the west coast, will it be hitting the LA area?
Just stay safe, I haven't looked at the news yet this morning so that's the next thing I'll do, Bing is fairly good about some of the news.

@rebelann I didn't know you could rack up so many. I usually cash out at about 5000 and I get gift cards for Amazon or Walmart, Sorry you had such problems,

Absolutely! Being online to make your fortune is a fool's errand.

@rebelann Well, they say time is more valuable than money. You can get more money, but you can't replace the time lost trying to pursue it. I found it much more valuable to budget my My Lot time instead of chasing after an elusive dollar which adds up to very little in the long run.
Good you realized the same thing, My Lot will be much more enjoyable without worrying about how much you're making

I didn't realise poppies came in more than just the red colour. You're right - spending a lot of time writing online (on sites like this) is not a good use of our time financially speaking but it's more than just cold, hard cash which attracted me to myLot (and, I suspect, many others) it's the interaction which I find interesting. Now that is worthy of our time

I hope you'll have a lot of fun here. It's much better to have fun and get a few pennies for it than to search and play games for hours just to earn $10, I'll still get $10 on inbox$$ eventually but I won't be sitting here wasting all my time to get it.

I was actually talking about inbox$$s where I was spending the bulk of my days trying to earn $10 a month.
As for mylot, it's more than just a site to earn money it's more of a site to learn people and how to write. I love learning about the many cultures the members here come from and it's also fun just to get to know several people even though it's mostly a cyber friendship. I don't remember ever making more than $5 here but I'm not here just for the money.
