Did you get your MyLot riches today? How early payout creates a problem for me.

I am glad to have made payout last month, and to have been paid this morning, but I need something to complain about. Because I am easily amused, I have discovered (or invented) a new "totally arbitrary MyLot goal": Can I reach $00DQ.0000 in my account by the time payday occurs? But if we are paid earlier than the 14th or 15th of the month, it gives me less time to reach my totally arbitrary combined mid-month goal. Oh darn. The totally arbitrary letters I used made me think of Dairy Queen. Fortunately, this reminded me that I should buy some new ice cream when I go to the store today. Did you have Dairy Queens in your town when you were growing up? Does Dairy Queen still exist?

Yes, there was a Dairy Queen here. As a matter of fact, it used to be right across the street from where we live now. There is still a Dairy Queen six miles away from us.

Mines still here I was at 4.77 and I knew dammit I missed, oh well. All the writing I do and no one likes me. Nothing to cry about just a honor thing really how mylot does it but I so poor it comes in handy. I can see how people look forward to it. Not life changing but makes you smile a bit.

@TheHorse Indeed, and there is nothing wrong with that at all. There should be a moral compass that guides us, everyone is corruptible.

@crossbones27 I wonder if I could work for a company whose values I don't believe in. Ar Guitar Center, I tire of hearing "sales techniques" used, But it's a part of the game. At least I get to teach music, which I believe in.

I bought some chocolate chip ice cream at the store. You're welcome to stop by. Please bring wafer cones, not sugar cones.

I grew up in a rural unincorporated village, so we didn't have any businesses. We were 20-30 minutes from "town" where my dad taught at the college, and the town had a Dairy Queen. My younger sister and I would sometimes get cones as a treat, or occasionally a Dilly Bar. If my parents were feeling flush and fancy, we might get a sundae!

Sounds like fond memories to me! I believe we used to "hike" (about a mile, along a rural road) to Dairy Queen "in town" when I was at Summer Camp in Michigan.

@TheHorse That sounds like a fond memory too! We'd have to "hike" that mile to get to our closest neighbor. We didn't even have paved roads.

Dairy Queen is the name of some Ice Cream brand? Is it US only? I too am surprised to see an early payout. May be Mylot has moved to New servers or implement some sort of Cloud Infrastructure? Just guessing

I know of two Dairy Queens in Green Bay. Now is the time to buy all those holiday flavors. Yes, I got paid. It was a good surprise. However, like you, I didn't make my arbitrary goal by mid-month. I still could.

No, I've invented a new goal: $00DQ.0000 as a total from last month AND this month by the time I get paid for last month this month. Do I need to explain further?

We have a Dairy Queen maybe 2 blocks away. It is not a brazier-type Dairy Queen. They have all the soft serve treats of course. The sandwich and meal wraps are hot dogs and chili dogs, some chicken items, and a few other odd things that do not require a lot of cooking equipment. It is a small DQ but does a lot of volume in the summers.

But payout was not early. It was precisely on time. In fact it has happened on the 1st before which would really toss a spanner in the works wouldn't it? As for DQ, yes and yes.

What you writes is wrong. We are paid the amount we reached by the end of the previous month. When we are paid makes absolutely no difference on our actual earnings.

No, what I write is right. You just misunderstood me. I know that we're paid the same, no matter when we're paid. I was just saying that I likes to make a game of seeing whether I can reach $00DQ.0000 before we're paid near the middle of the month.
